Where lived experience meets professional care

The Journey Behind Learn & Grow
Who I Am:
Hi, I’m Jess, a qualified primary teacher who’s passionate about supporting kids who learn and think differently.
I’m also a mum to two beautiful neurodivergent children, so I understand the ups and downs that can come with learning and school.
I know what it’s like to watch your child try their hardest, yet still feel like the world isn’t built with them in mind.
That lived experience has shaped the way I work - with empathy, flexibility, and a strong belief that every child deserves to feel understood and capable.
My Background:
I’ve studied psychology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, which has really influenced the way I understand children’s thinking, emotions, and learning needs.
I also hold a Master of Teaching (Primary), with a special focus on inclusive education.
That combination helps me understand the whole child; not just their challenges, but how they see the world and how best to support them in a way that truly fits them.
Who I Help:
I’ve worked with many children who find learning hard; kids with ADHD, autism, developmental delays, dyscalculia, anxiety, and children who have low confidence when it comes to maths.
My sessions are calm, hands on, and completely tailored to each child.
We use movement, visuals, games, and simple steps to make things feel achievable.
While I mainly work with primary-aged children, I occasionally support younger or older students too, depending on their individual needs.
Why I Created Grow & Learn:
I created Learn & Grow with Jess because so many families shared the feeling that their child was being left behind.
They didn’t need more pressure or more worksheets, they needed understanding, flexibility, and support that actually works.
That’s what I aim to provide.
Next Steps:
If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place. I'd love to help.
